Get the facts about your appeal rights for California Children’s Services

The California Children’s Services (CCS) Program can be hard to navigate for families of children with complex health needs. There may be delays, denials, reductions, discontinuance, or other changes to their benefits.

But families have the right to appeal these decisions. They can assert their child’s rights to access the care they need through the CCS Program. The National Health Law Program has created a fact sheet to inform families about the steps to appeal decisions about their child’s CCS benefits, and provide them with key resources to support the process.
