In this first segment, the speaker will guide families on the process of obtaining ABA services through GGRC. The topics will include: Early Intervention Therapy, roles of ABA clinical team, ABA intake assessment process, ABA schedules, and preparation for transition from GGRC to private insurance funded services. In the last part, the speaker will also hold a discussion about how families can best prepare and understand the new changes when their child’s therapy begins, as the impact is not only on the child, but on the family as a whole.
Deanna Tran, our presenter, is a clinician who practiced Applied Behavioral Analysis for over a decade. She provides consultation to school districts and creates individualized treatment plans for children and adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) . She earned her Master’s degree in Education, with an emphasis on ASD. She also has a 9-year-old son who continues to be impacted by autism everyday. Deanna’s unique background has allowed her to gain valuable insights; one perspective as a professional and the other as a parent of a child with special needs.
