This workshop will focus on strategies to address problem behaviors in the home and school setting. Parents and professionals will learn how the use of Positive Behavior Supports and other ABA principles can increase function-based skills and decrease problem behaviors. Further discussion will focus on the importance of collaboration with your child’s IEP team to ensure continuity when implementing behavior intervention plans.
Deanna Tran, our presenter, is a clinician who practiced Applied Behavioral Analysis for over a decade. She provides consultation to school districts and creates individualized treatment plans for children and adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She earned her Master’s degree in Education, with an emphasis on ASD. She also has a 9-year-old son who continues to be impacted by autism everyday. Deanna’s unique background has allowed her to gain valuable insights; one perspective as a professional and the other as a parent of a child with special needs.
