How to Model with Center for Accessible Technology (part 3 of 4)

Children who aren’t (or aren’t primarily) verbal communicators need to learn communication and language through AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication). Learning AAC is a little like learning another language, and it can be difficult for families to know how to help their AAC learners grow into effective AAC communicators. This 4-part series Introduces families to AAC, and builds family skills to help their AAC learners. The series is based on Kate Ahern’s Model, Motivate, and Move Out of the Way framework.

This workshop is Part 3. Learn how to accept and respond with AAC to all the ways your child communicates, and entice them to communicate more.Featured Speaker: Jen McDonald-Peltier from the Center for Accessible Technology
