Learn the Signs, Act Early – video playlists in English and Spanish

The CDC has created 2 sets of narrated PowerPoints giving information on developmental milestones. 

There are 10 PowerPoints in English and another set of 10 in Spanish – one for each of the developmental milestone ages detailed in CDC’s Learn the Signs. Act Early (2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 1 year, 18 months, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years and 5 years). 

Each of the PowerPoints cover:

  • the importance of monitoring Developmental Milestones

  • visual examples of developmental milestones (from the LTSAE Milestones in Action) in each of the milestone areas

  • Social/Emotional

  • Language/Communication

  • Cognitive/Learning

  • Movement/Physical

  • things parents can do to support their child’s development

  • red flags (when a parent should talk to their child’s doctor

  • what to expect at the well-child visit

  • tips for talking with the doctor

  • and LTSAE tools for monitoring milestones
