Volunteer Opportunities with Support for Families of Children with Disabilities.

FALL GALA VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Support for Families is in great need of people who can help out at our annual Fundraising Gala on Saturday, October 11, 2008. We are also in need of volunteers who can help out at the pre-Gala work party on Saturday, October 4, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

These are also excellent opportunities for group or corporate volunteering!

Annual Gala and Fundraising Auction

• Date: Saturday, October 11, 2008
• Location: Jewish Community Center, 3200 California Street, SF, CA.
• Notes: We need volunteers to help us transfer all the materials to the Jewish Community Center and to help set up the event. We also need help at the event at the check-in desk, helping with the silent auction and helping sort the auctions items and check-out at the end of the evening. We also need volunteers to stay and help load the trucks and assist with clean-up. If you volunteer four hours, you will be able to stay for dinner!

• Date: Saturday, October 11, 2008
• Location: Support for Families – 6th floor conference room, Suite 600 – 2601 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94110
• Notes: Volunteers will work on a variety of projects to get ready for the gala. These may include: bid sheet assembly, making displays, putting together gift baskets and sets of cards (made by children at the Open Gate care giving center), making name badges, labeling and organizing.

• Evening Office Volunteer: We are seeking someone to assist participants get into the building before our scheduled evening events and to do some office tasks as well, (such as helping make photocopies and other general office duties). Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday evenings for 2 hours.
